The Victorian kitchen garden at Scawby, in North Lincolnshire, was established over two hundred years ago to provide fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs, and flowers, for those who lived and worked in the Hall. Since around 1950, our produce has been sold to visitors who relish the superior, full flavour of chemical-free food. To find out what's in season, please check the The Shop page on this site, or better still, come and see what we're up to! We'd love to see you!
We also offer a broad range of plants, shrubs and hardy perennials, including some 120 different fuchsias and around 60 types of lavender, all of which are for sale. We have also established collections of bearded iris and pelargoniums. The plants and shrubs pages give a good indication of what we have but, for obvious reasons, we cannot guarantee that every variety will be avilable!
The Shop is open during garden opening hours.
Each year we like to bring something new to the garden which adds to its traditional heritage without destroying what has gone before. For the last six months we have been creating a huge chequerboard of grasses and evergreen plants. For more information, go to “What’s new?”
